On September 25, 2024, QS, a global higher education research institution, unveiled its full-time MBA rankings 2025. This year’s ranking features a total of 340 MBA programs across 58 countries, regions and special regions. A total of 5 MBA programs in Chinese mainland ranked among the world’s top 100, with Tsinghua University, CEIBS and ACEM among the top three in Chinese mainland. The SJTU Antai MBA program ranked 63th in the world, steadily among the top 100 in the world for six consecutive years.

The QS Global MBA Rankings are based on five key indicators to fully evaluate the comprehensive strength of MBA programs: Employability, Return on Investment, Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes, Thought Leadership, and Class & Faculty Diversity.

In this year’s ranking, the SJTU Antai MBA program has shown an outstanding performance in "hard indicators" such as Employability and Return on Investment: in Return on Investment, a key indicator, QS maps average post-MBA salaries against average salaries before enrolment, and looks at a 10-year return on investment based on tuition fees, opportunity costs and expected career development. This year, SJTU Antai MBA once again refreshed its previous record of 91.7 points, hitting a new high with 92.3 points and well above the global average score of 61.5 points. This has shown a high return on education investment. Employment rate is the core component of Employability. QS considers the employment rate for students, three months post-graduation, based on MBACSEA standards. SJTU Antai MBA continued its last year’s strong performance with a high point of 100; according to the report on employment among full-time MBA graduates in 2023, an average of 2.5 job opportunities per capita were secured, as high as nearly 50% of graduates successfully transferred their industry and function, and the highest salary growth rate reached 166.7%, demonstrating the high competitiveness of Antai MBA graduates in the job market. Entrepreneurship looks at the proportion of alumni who set up their own companies after graduation, occupying an important proportion in the Alumni Outcomes indicator. The Antai MBA program received a high point of 90.1, a sign of impressive performance in the training model of full-cycle practical entrepreneurial talents of the program that has been put in place for years. Relying on three major platforms (three-dimensional courses, multi-level practical training and comprehensive guarantees), the model is committed to personalized training of entrepreneurs at different stages and the building of high-quality incubation platforms for student and alumni entrepreneurs in different areas including venture funds, office space, industry practice, and post-investment consulting. It helps students in the SJTU Antai MBA program build their career as actual business controllers and outstanding investors as well as senior professional managers.

The SJTU Antai MBA program has an impressive track record in the latest authoritative rankings and evaluations released in China. Earlier, in the second round of the list of "Double First-class" construction colleges & universities and subjects issued by the Ministry of Education, the MBA program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) was the only subject of its kind to be selected in the Yangtze River Delta. In the latest round of subject evaluation and the first evaluation of professional degree level, its first-level subject of Business Management, the first-level subject of Management Science & Engineering, and MBA degree were all rated A+, establishing a prevailing advantage within the subjects among the Chinese business schools.

These objective indicators are attributed to the long-term emphasis and cultivation of students' personal abilities and sustainable career development by SJTU Antai MBA. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the SJTU Antai MBA program. On this occasion, the SJTU Antai MBA program released its brand new 4C competence tower training system, a forward-looking solution to enhance the core competitiveness of MBA students in the new situation. Composed of courses and resources, the 4C Competence Tower helps MBA students build cognitive advancement from information to knowledge and then to management wisdom. In addition to the courses, it will help foster irreplaceable management talents with the ability to resist risks in the AI era by building four key competences (cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary, cross-boundary, and cross-industry competences) with its exclusive matrix for massive resources.

In the future, relying on its top faculty, the SJTU Antai MBA will remain committed to integrating top-class industry resources, strengthening industry-university-research-application integration, and providing all MBA students with broader learning platforms and diverse practical opportunities. Through building sustainable career development platforms, it will also provide more practice-oriented, management-skilled top management talents to contribute to China’s social and economic development.
